By Choice and Chance

I painted this with the sense that the journey we take through life is shaped partly by the choices we make and partly by chance. There are two paths in this scene and neither are wrong, they just go different ways.  There is a vanishing figure on the right, to give a sense of transience and the word 'journey' is written in the paint.  It's inspired from the Devil's Punchbowl in Hindhead, a walk I know well with my dog who is also hiding in the painting if you can see him.

This is an original Sonya Vine painting, oil on board, 16" x 20".  Signed by the artist on the front and signed and dated on the back.  This comes in a white wooden floater frame so it is ready to hang.
