I love painting people, not portraits but figures caught in the flow of life, walking on a beach, pausing on a street or lost in their own thoughts in a quiet landscape. These are observational, impressionistic paintings that find the poignant and the beautiful in ordinary human moments.
My subjects are drawn from the places I know and love, the beaches of Dorset and Devon, the streets of London, the countryside of Surrey or sometimes further afield. Wherever I am, I'm looking for that fleeting, evocative moment that tells a story about what it means to be human.
