Linchmere Common

Inspired by a light-filled walk around Linchmere Common, I wanted to capture that fleeting moment when sunlight filters through trees and transforms an ordinary path into something luminous. I kept the brushstrokes loose to let the foliage and shadows merge , while the small figures in the distance suggest the quiet companionship of walking through a landscape that feels both intimate and expansive.

This is an original Sonya Vine painting, oil on board, 12"x10".   Signed and dated by the artist on the back, and signed on one corner on the front.
