This painting was inspired by an early crisp morning on the way to a park run and I was drawn to the contrast between the bright sun and the stillness of the icy pond. The two boys are absorbed in a moment of curiosity, one reaching toward the water without hesitation. It feels like everything in the scene is holding its breath and wondering what it is they've found.

This is an original Sonya Vine painting, oil on board, 20" x 16".  Signed by the artist on the front and signed and dated on the back.  This comes in a white wooden floater frame so it is ready to hang.
